Prepared and developed construction
documents for the removal and storage of six historic columns. Standing
30 feet and weighing 28,000 lbs, the columns were originally designed
by William Strickland. The columns were part of the United States
Mint in downtown Philadelphia and later donated to the hospital
in 1904.
These columns were originally constructed in the 1800's. |

This building was constructed in the early 1930's.
TKG's scope of work consisted of: evaluating the existing facade,
repairing construction documents, and bidding facade repairs for
the Rogers building.
The building facade consisted of colonial red brick, limestone
cornices/window headers, brownstone quoins/window headers, and wood
windows. Several pieces of the limestone balustrade on the sixth,
eighth, and ninth floor were deteriorated and required immediate
stabilization. In addition, TKG performed a wood window survey report
and repair matrix. |
